- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Wasabi
- Prepare 1 teaspoon Grated Ginger
Kaisen Don is a Rice Bowl which some different Sashimi are placed on Sushi Rice. Normally, it's served at Sushi restaurants and popular for lunch. Have you heard of kaisen don? It's a popular Japanese dish that is basically a bowl of sashimi on top of a bed of rice.
Instructions to make Sashimi ‘Zuké Don':
- Make the marinade first. Place Mirin, Soy Sauce, Wasabi and Grated Ginger in a small bowl and mix well.
- Slice Fish Fillet into small pieces and add to the marinade. Rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Half fill a bowl with freshly cooked rice, cover with the Toasted Nori and place marinated fish pieces on top. Place some finely sliced Shiso or chopped Spring Onion, and/or other condiments of your choice and enjoy.
